Test page

These pages contain Polish texts. There are some non-English characters in the Polish alphabet, so, first of all, your system must have Multilingual Support installed and your browser must be able to take cognizance of the META tag which defines the ISO 8859-2 (Central European ISO) character set used on most Polish webpages on the Internet. If you have trouble viewing Polish webpages, just upgrade your browser (it should show the content of any website correctly!) or send me mail.

See how your computer displays various letters and symbols…

(…) and how it should do

If you can see too many boxes instead of Polish characters and other letters in the left part of the chart (more than on the control image), you need the newest version of Times New Roman font. Don’t worry if some boxes in the left part, among Cyrillic script and miscellaneous symbols, appear.

To be able to look through all the material included on my site, you should not see any boxes in the right part. If you see them however, you will need Lucida Sans Unicode font (lsansuni.ttf), provided with Windows 98 SE and Windows Me operating systems. Alternatively, install Safari browser. When under Windows, in Program files\Safari\Safari.resources you will find two font files, Lucida Grande and Lucida Grande Bold. Copy them to C:\Windows\Fonts and run Control Panel – Fonts.

Some texts on this website need MS Arial Unicode font to be installed. It is delivered with MS Office.
