The Polish characters can be obtained this way:

Remarks:

The key ` is placed left to the 1 key (over the TAB key).
The capitals are achieved, like always, with contemporary holding the Shift key, eg. Shift + Right Alt + a = Ą.
The other way, using the key `, also works with Shift, eg. `, then Shift + x = Ź (Shift can even be held as early as when pressing the key `).
For achieving the character ś, the combination Right Alt + d can be used as well (in view of the problems of certain bad written applications that force remapping of the Right Alt + s combination for their own functions).
Some useful additional combinations are worth remembering. They are presented in the table below.

Remarks:

The symbol of Euro (€) can be achieved in many ways.
The symbols ·, × and ÷ are alternative symbols of multiplication and division.
The combination Right Alt + Shift + = is the same as Right Alt plus +, hence its meaning - ±.
The combinations Right Alt + - as well as Right Alt + = mean the symbols of the mid and long dashes (En Dash, Em Dash).
The Polish quotation-marks („ ”) can be achieved with the use of the combination with the keys ; and ' (it works with Alt as well as with `).
Single triangular quotation-marks (‹ ›) can be achieved with the use of the combination with the keys [ and ] (it works with Alt as well as with `).
Double triangular quotation-marks (« ») can be achieved with the use of the combinations with the keys < and >, that means Shift + , and Shift + . (it works with Alt as well as with `).

The way of achieving of non-Polish (German, Czech, Hungarian etc.) national characters:

ć, ĺ, ń, ŕ, ś, ź	Right Alt + 1, then the symbol of the letter (c, l, n, r, s, z)

ő, ű	Right Alt + 3, then the symbol of the letter (o, u)
đ, ł	Right Alt + Shift + 3, then the symbol of the letter (d, l)
č, ď, ě, ľ, ň, ř, š, ť, ž	Right Alt + 6, then the symbol of the letter (c, d, e, l, n, r, s, t, z)
â, î, ô	Right Alt + Shift + 6, then the symbol of the letter (a, i, o)
ä, ë, ö, ü; ß	Right Alt + 7, then the symbol of the letter (a, e, o, u; s)
ç, ş, ţ	Right Alt + 8, then the symbol of the letter (c, s, t)
ă	Right Alt + 9, then a
ů	Right Alt + 0, then u

Remarks:

The capitals, like Ŕ, Ű, Ä, can be achieved similarly to the proper small letters, eg. Ŕ - Right Alt + 1, then Shift + r.
Certain characters, eg. û, are impossible to achieve under the Windows-1250 coding. After having changed the codepage into Windows-1252, the suitable combinations (similar to the presented ones in the table, here Right Alt + Shift + 6, then u) should work.
